  • Qfunction How long do I have to wait for it to be completed during collection?
    • A

      In the case of data collection, it will take a minimum of 10 minutes to a maximum of 7 days depending on the options you have set.


      - Options that affect collection time: keywords, collection period, channel

  • Qfunction I'd like to get rid of the one-syllable words (things, at, on, etc).
    • A

      [Cleansing] - Cleansing List - You can easily remove keywords using the 'Direct Edit' function of the keyword cleansing list.


      1) 'Direct Edit' - Click the edit button.

      2) Directly enter the word in the bottom right - Select the 'Remove' button.

      3) Enter a single-syllable word in the 'Word to change' field, leave the 'Modified word' blank, and apply.

  • Qfunction How can I check the size of the data to be collected in advance?
    • A

      TEXTOM allows real-time data collection as soon as the collection function is activated, and you can check the storage capacity once all the data collection is completed.


      * The collection function is available for free regardless of storage capacity.

      * Through the keyword preview feature, you can check the data trends for the selected keywords over the past month.

  • Qfunction I created several collection lists with the same collection conditions, but the amount of data was different each time.
    • A

      Due to policies specific to each portal site, as well as the possibility of posts being deleted within the portal, the amount of data collected may vary depending on the collection time.


      However, if the collection quantity for a specific portal channel is confirmed to be '0', please kindly inquire through the 'Chat Inquiry' section on our website.

  • Qfunction Can I upload any file I have to the existing data?
    • A

      For existing data, uploading TXT ∙ XLSX ∙ CSV files is possible.


      When uploading an XLSX file, we recommend referring to the example image on the [Collection] Data Collection - Data Holding page and uploading it according to the format provided. (* For data that does not match the format, you must enter all data in column A.)

  • Qfunction Can I analyze multiple collection lists collected with different keywords all at once?
    • A

      Yes, it's possible.


      Please go to the [Collection] - Collection Lists page and select the checkboxes of the collection lists for which you want simultaneous analysis. After selection, click the 'Preprocess Data' button, and you'll be able to preprocess multiple datasets together.

  • Qfunction How should I apply filtering AND and OR conditions?

  • Qfunction The version of the 'Direct Edit' feature in the [Cleansing] - Cleansing List is what functionality?

      When additional cleansing is needed for preprocessed data, the 'Direct Edit' feature is used.


      Think of the version as a record of additional cleansing tasks performed through the 'Direct Edit' feature. If backup of the cleansing tasks is needed, create a new version; otherwise, apply the existing version.

  • Qfunction I clicked on the page but it's showing a blank screen, or there's no response when I click on buttons.

      The phenomenon may occur depending on the specifications or capacity range of your personal PC.


      Please try clearing the cache data using the CTRL + SHIFT + R shortcut, or ensure that you're using the Chrome browser in the OS environment.

  • Qfunction When collecting data, why are the actual search volume and data collection volume different?
    • A

      Channel-specific Collection Limit Policy and Site Page Structure May Cause Differences in Data.


      ① A maximum of 1,000 data items can be collected per channel. If you want to collect more data, please request an 'Request channel'.


      ② If the structure of a page significantly differs from the typical page structure, or if the tags in the page content cannot be collected, the data may not be collected.

  • Qfunction What should I do if I need to collect data from channels not provided by TEXTOM?
    • A

      If you want to collect data from channels other than Google, Quora or reddit, you can use the 'Request Channel' feature in the [Collection] collection list.


      Please provide the channels and information for data collection, such as Instagram, Facebook, community comments, etc. We will promptly inform you of the collection cost and time after reviewing the requested items.


      * If you want to collect data for a period of more than 3 years, we also recommend using the ""Request Channel"" feature for faster collection.

  • Qfunction What are operators and how do I use them?
    • A

      By using operators, you can efficiently collect data that matches your analysis purposes.

      -  - : Excludes the word

      -  | : Documents containing one or more of the entered words


      When using operators, there should be a space before the operator / keywords following the operator should be placed without spaces. (ex) Leisure activities +sports / Leisure activities -sports

  • Qfunction I would like to collect all body content of portal site posts.
    • A

      TEXTOM data collection is all conducted through summary collection. Summary collection refers to collecting the title/body that can be viewed without clicking when searching on portal sites.



      If you want to collect the entire content of a specific channel or keyword, please make a request through [Collection] Data Collection - Request Channel.

  • Qfunction Delays may occur while using the service. Is there any solution?
    • A

      If a delay of more than 10 minutes occurs while using the service, please provide your TEXTOM ID and the name of the data via 'Chat Inquiry'. Our development team will promptly check and assist with the correction.

  • Qpayment I don't know how much data capacity I should purchase.
    • A

      When signing up as a new member of TEXTOM, a trial capacity of 5MB is provided for free. (Usage period: 1 month)


      This capacity is used when analyzing collected documents, and it is deducted from the collected capacity when preprocessing data (cleaning/tokenization) in the collection list.


      Currently, data collection is available for free regardless of the capacity you have. Therefore, we recommend first proceeding with the collection, and then determining the necessary capacity.
